Samajwadi leaders arrive

KATHMANDU: Chief of India’s Samajwadi Party (SP) and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and party general secretary Amar Singh arrived here on Sunday on a two-day visit at a personal invitation of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav. “Mulayam Singh Yadav is a friend of the President and they are here to visit the Pashupatinath temple,” said Rajendra Dahal, press advisor of the President, adding, “Though this is an unofficial visit, Yadav and Singh are scheduled to meet Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and senior leaders of Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist and CPN-UML.” President Yadav is also hosting a welcome dinner in the honour of the Indian leaders.
