SC order to parties

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered the signatories of the 16-point agreement reached on June 8 to produce the document before the court. Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), UCPN-M and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Loktantrik had signed the agreement to facilitate the constitution writing process. A division bench of Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha and Justice Om Prakash Mishra issued the order. Former Ambassador to Denmark Bijay Kant Karna and social activist Rita Sah had filed a writ petition at the apex court challenging the legality of the agreement reached between the four major political parties.
