Kathmandu, November 17

Ministry of Education has called application for scholarships from children of those declared martyrs by the government.

Issuing a public notice, Department of Education (DoE) today called for application for scholarship from pre-primary to higher secondary levels. It said children of only those parents who have been declared martyrs by the Ministry of Home Affairs were eligible to apply.

DOE today said those who are eligible to apply for the scholarship should submit their application to their respective District Education Offices by December 1.

The students must submit a photocopy of the certificate of martyrs issued by MoHA, relationship verification with the martyr and details of the academic institutions where the students are studying.

The details of students and academic institutions should be verified by the chief of the academic institutions before submission of application.

According to DoE, the students of pre-primary and primary levels will get Rs 1,000 each for 12 months.
