Scholarship in memory of Anisha KC
Kathmandu, Sept 14:
Principal of the Bright Future Secondary School at Thankot, Dayaram Thapa, today said that the school will set up a scholarship in the name of Anisha KC, a student who was killed in the Tripureshwor bomb blast on September 2.
KC was a former student of the school.
Addressing a condolence meeting organised by the school on the school premises, Dahal said the ‘Anisha KC
Scholarship’ will be given to a hard-working student of grade X of the school every year.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders of various political parties termed the September 2 Kathmandu blasts as “terrorist activities.”
Three persons were killed and 25 others were injured when three bombs exploded at Sundhara, Tripureshwor and Balaju that day. “Whoever was responsible for the blasts wanted to scuttle the constituent assembly election, and this is a crime against humanity,” the leaders said.
Among others, Arjun Narsingh KC of the NC, Keshav Badal of the CPN-UML, Minendra Rijal of the NC (D) and Dilip Maharjan of the CPN-Maoist demanded a thorough probe into the incident.
