Scholarship for migrant workers’ children

Foreign Employment Promotion Board has decided to provide scholarship to the children of migrant workers who die abroad.

Scholarship will also be provided to the children of those migrant workers who become physically disabled. Scholarships will be provided for technical and high school education.  FEPB has allocated a total of 120 seats under the scholarship programme for children of migrant workers. Scholarship will be provided in three sectors — nursing, engineering and agriculture. Each sector will have 40 seats under scholarship programme.

For the scholarship, women, ethnic community, Dalit, Muslim, people with disability, Madhesi and privileged groups will have separate quotas. Women will have three seats, ethnic communities will have two, Madhesis two and one seat will be allocated each for Dalit, people with disability, privileged group and Muslim.

For scholarship in staff nurse, candidates must secure minimum Grade C and for mechanical engineering and agriculture, they must secure minimum Grade D in Secondary Education Examination.
