Schoolkids face textbooks shortage
Madhyapur Thimi, April 22:
Students have no access to the textbooks as Janak Siksha Samagri Kendra Limited failed to print them though the educational session of this year has already begun.
Failure to print less copies than the demand in the market by the Janak Siksha Samagri Kendra this year than the demand this session has resulted in the lack of textbooks.
According to the students, the textbooks of Grades 3, 9 and 10 have not yet been brought to the market.
But, the Kendra admitted to the delay caused in the printing of school level books, stating that much time was consumed while printing ballot papers for the April 10 constituent assembly elections.
Deputy General Manager of Janak Siksha Samagri Kendra Limited, Ram Chandra Silwal, informed that the printing work of the textbooks was being carried out round the clock.
The Janak Siksha Samagri Kendra has been preparing to complete the printing work of the textbooks of Grades 3, 9 and 10, Silwal said, adding that the textbooks would come to the market within 10 days,
