SC's order for uninterrupted health service

KATHMANDU: Saying that the right to health is related to life of the people, Supreme Court today issued interim order to the government authorities and the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) not to halt its services.

A division bench of Justices Ram Prasad Shrestha and Khil Raj Regmi issued the order following today’s hearing. “Since health service is related to life of the public and service of hospital is directly related with the general public, smooth resumption of the services is required,” the bench observed.

The bench was responding to a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by advocate Jagannath Mishra demanding apex court’s to ensure the health services.
