Security tightened for Investment Summit

Kathmandu, March 25

Nepal Police has said security has been beefed up in the capital for Investment Summit-2019 being held from March 29 to 30.

Nepal Police also claimed that special security measures have been adopted at the venue for the summit and also at other hotels where guests will be staying during the summit. Hotel Soaltee has been chosen as the venue for the summit.

As many as 600 guests from 40 countries are expected to attend the summit.

Union Minister of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations of Myanmar U Thaung Tun, Vice-president of World Bank Hartwig Schafer and  Vice-president of Asian Development Bank Shixin Chen, among other dignitaries and investors, will be participating in the event.

Spokesperson for Nepal Police SSP Uttam Raj Subedi said high alert had been issued around the venue and hotels where the participants will stay.
