KATHMANDU, APRIL 22

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has emphasized the necessity of cooperation among all parties for the country's development.

"The cooperation of all sides is essential to develop the country while safeguarding the democratic republican system," Deuba stated. "Minimum consensus and collaboration are necessary to protect the fundamental rights of citizens, ensure lasting peace, and promote good governance."

He made these remarks at the Diamond Jubilee celebration organized on the occasion of the establishment of the Nepal Communist Party in Godavari, Lalitpur today.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' also spoke at the event, urging all political parties to cooperate for the country's development. "All political achievements thus far have been the result of political understanding and unity," he said, appealing to all parties to initiate a fresh dialogue for understanding and consensus. Dahal also emphasized the importance of respecting the contributions of every political party and working for the country and its people.

Likewise, UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli called for unity among all political parties to defend and strengthen the federal democratic republic. He highlighted the need for a concrete plan to eradicate poverty, eliminate corruption, and prioritize national interests.

During the occasion, Prime Minister Dahal, UML Chair Oli, Congress President Deuba, CPN-US leader Jhalanath Khanal, Nepal Samajbadi Party Chair Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, former Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Khilraj Regmi, and other leaders jointly honored former President Bidya Devi Bhandari with the 'Ganatantra Gaurav Samman' presented by the CPN-UML party.

Former President Bhandari, speaking at the event, stressed the importance of developing a high level of political culture among political parties to achieve a common vision for advancing the nation. She suggested increasing domestic production and productivity through the utilization of natural resources, cultural heritage, and the labor, skills, and talents of the people.
