Serial bike thieves busted
KATHMANDU: Two persons, including an Indian national, were arrested for their alleged involvement in serial bike theft in the Kathmandu Valley.
Raju Syangtan (24) of Lalitpur and Raghabh Kumar Rajak Baitha (20) of Motihari, India were first taken in custody from Jawalakhel on Monday after they failed to produce valid documents of the two-wheeler that they were riding on, police said.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the bike was lifted from Kapan and bore a changed licence plate number.
Further police grilling led to their confession that they had stolen bikes from different places in the Capital.
Police seized four other bikes, with their licence plate numbers changed, from their possession.
