Series of theft cases in the Valley

Property worth Rs 500,000 has been stolen from three houses at different places of the Kathmandu valley, police said.

According to police sources, property worth Rs 160,000, including cash and gold jewellry was stolen from the house of Laxmi Prasad Manandhar (38), a resident of Bhaktapur Municipality Ward No 17, on Monday night.

On the same night, property worth Rs 180,000 including Rs 80,000 in cash and gold jewellry

was stolen from the house of Omkar Thapa, who hails from Tahathali Village Development

Committee of Bhaktapur and residing at Kumarigal, Kathmandu.

Similarly, property worth Rs 65,000 and Rs 85,00 was reported to have been stolen from the houses of Lekhnath Khanal and Lakpa Chhiring Sherpa, police said.
