Sherchan got his ribs broken
KATHMANDU: Former Deputy Prime Minister and senior leader of Unified CPN-Maoist Amik Sherchan, who was injured during the police thrashing, got his ribs broken.
Vice-chairperson of United National People's Movement, (UNPM) Sherchan, who was injured in course of Maoist's Singha Durbar gherao programme on November 12, is still undergoing treatment in Balaju-based Jana Maitri Hospital.
According to a press statement issued here today by the UNPM, Sherchan had his ribs number 6 and 7 broken, chest affected, ligament of his right hand torn and also sustained serious injury on his head and eye.
Over 60 leaders, cadres and general people of Lalitpur, Sindhupalchowk and Tharuwan states, who had sustained injury in police action were already discharged from the hospital.
