KATHMANDU: A fire broke out due to an electronic short circuit at an automobile workshop in Thankot on the western outskirts of Kathmandu on Friday.

The Aalam Workshop in Thankot, Chandagiri Municipality-7 had caught the fire.

The fire destroyed a motorcycle, a gas stove and cylinder, one wooden cupboard and various vehicle equipment worth Rs 452,000 in total.

The fire was controlled by a fire brigade, police and locals.

Further investigation is underway, said police.
