KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday apprehended a man for his alleged involvement in a sickle attack.

The suspect has been identified as Sudan Shakya (25) of Gabahal, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City.

Police said that Shakya had attacked Ramesh Shrestha (44) of the same place with a sickle over old rivalry.

Critically injured in the attack, Shrestha was rushed to the Alka Hospital in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur for treatment.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
