Nepal lacks the outlets where Nepalis can find wide varieties of academic books or materials and general books they are interested and also lacks the appropriate places where they can get right suggestions concerning study at home or abroad. Most of the quality books are either brought directly or imported from other countries mainly India. Organisers are very hopeful that The Nepal Education and Book Fair, the only event of its kind in Nepal will certainly fill the gaps between the demand and the supply of quality and relevant books. As per the organiser, more numbers of Nepali people have a habit of reading new, quality, and relevant books not only in capital but also across the country and they usually waits for the imported books. Nepal education and book fair, apart from bridging the crucial gap, will also provide impetus to indigenous book trade to gear their systems to the changing needs and reading habit of the people, the release states.
