SLC admit cards for private students
Kathmandu, March 22:
Contrary to rumours that private school students would be barred from appearing in upcoming School Leaving Certificate Examination, the district education offices throughout the country are learnt to have distributed admit cards to almost all the students.
Gita Rana, president of the National Private and Boarding Schools’ Association of Nepal, today told this daily that most of the private schools had already distributed admit cards to SLC students.
Bhuwan Lal Shrestha, president, Private and Boarding Schools’ Organisation Nepal-Bhaktapur, said all kinds of preparations for SLC were going smoothly.
He said, “Admit cards have already been distributed and students are preparing hard to get good score in the exam.”
He said District Level Monitoring Committee had been formed with the participation of people from private and government sector to monitor the examination centres during the examinations.
Similarly the Office of Controller of the Examinations has already completed all the preparation for the upcoming SLC. Gopal Prasad Bhattarai, deputy director of OCE today said, “We have completed our preparations and hope there won’t be any problems.”
He said there would be a total of 1,403 examination centres throughout the country for 422,884 students appearing in the SLC examination scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
