KATHMANDU: Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar said she was deeply saddened by the death of chief opposition party leader and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala.

Expressing a condolence to the veteran leader's family and the party on Tuesday, Gharti also prayed to the almighty to give the power of tolerance to the bereaved family and all leaders and cadres of NC at this hour of grief.

Gharti's statement further reads that no one would forget him for his positive role to lead the country toward the path of peace and stability.

The nation would feel lack of his presence in the future while taking the country toward economic development after implementing the new Constitution, said Gharti.

The life of Koirala, who devoted his life in benevolent works, would be a great lesson for Nepali politics, reads the statement.
