KATHMANDU: Speaker Onsari Gharti called on the political parties to extend their positive support to draft the Legislature-Parliament Rules of Procedures.

Inaugurating the National Poetry Festival-2072, organised to mark the 58th anniversary of Nepal Academy today, the Speaker said that the parliamentary activities would become more effective and systematic once the Rules are prepared.

The country has entered a new phase with the promulgation of the constitution through the Constituent Assembly, she stated, applauding the contribution of the poetry festival in promoting language and culture and giving out space for talents.

A total 143 poets are taking part in the festival, the Academy said.
