KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Development Committee under the Legislature-Parliament, Rabindra Adhikari has pointed out that the development projects were affected as stakeholders were concerned only with foundation stone-laying functions.

The CPN-UML lawmaker commented so while tabling the panel's monitoring and evaluation report at the Parliament meeting today.

The monitoring and evaluation report was submitted to the Parliament for the first time though the parliamentary committee annually prepares such reports, it is stated.

The report has included whether directives of parliamentary committees were implemented in developmental projects.

President Adhikari added that the developmental projects were not expedited as ministerial level decisions were not implemented.

Meanwhile, Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar read out a letter received from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council Of Ministers regarding the Cabinet expansion with the induction of two ministers on Thursday.
