Student leader freed on bail

Secretary of the Free Students’ Union of the Pashupati Multiple Campus, Raj Kumar Dhungana, was released on Thursday on a bail of Rs 700.

He was arrested on May 8 from Chabahil when he was collecting relief fund for fire victims of Okhaldhungha. He was charged with public offence accusing him of manhandling a policeman on duty. Bal Dev Timalsina, vice-president of the FSU, said it was illegal and inhuman to arrest and charge a man who was collecting funds for a good cause.
