Student unions call for boycott of ministers

Kathmandu, June 1:
The seven students organisations today decided to hold protest programmes against
what they termed “autocracy, in order to “restore full democracy” in the country.
The student bodies have also called on all sections of society to boycott the programmes attended by ministers of the present government.
The students’ organisations have also decided to stage a “black rally” from Maitidevi to Dilli Bazar on June 8.
The organisations have also demanded the immediate release of former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and former minister Prakash Man Singh, who are in detention for alleged irregularities in the Melamchi Drinking Water Project.
The student bodies have also called all sections of society to boycott all the programmes attended by ministers of the present government.
