Student unions' concern

KATHMANDU: Ten student unions have expressed concerns over irregularities and lawlessness witnessed during the ongoing School Leaving Certificate examinations.

Issuing a joint statement today, heads of the unions have demanded action against individuals involved in the unlawful acts. They have threatened to launch an agitation if private schools did not roll back the fee-hike decision taken recently within two weeks. They also demand their representation in committees formed to determine the fees charged by the institutional schools. The union heads also expressed concern over the 19-day shut down of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
