Students submit memo to PM

KATHMANDU: Thirteen agitating student unions today submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is also the Chancellor of Tribhuvan University (TU), and Education Minister Ram Chandra Kushwaha, the pro-chancellor of the varsity, demanding to roll back the hike in fee by TU.

Laxman Lamsal of All Nepal National Free Students’ Union, said it was a part of their protest programme. “We had to wait this long since we could not meet the PM earlier,” he said. “The PM has assured us to address the fee hike,” he added.
