Kathmandu, June 22 :

Students of Amrit Science Campus today protested the transfer of Police Inspector at the Ward Police Office, Durbarmarg, by organising a chakkajam in front of campus from 10.00 to 11.00 am.

Protesting students believed Inspector Abhushan Timilsina was transferred from the office in connection with the incident of scuffle between the locals and Bharat Keshar Simha, the president of the World Hindu Federation on June 20.

Tek Raj Pacchai, chairman of the ASCOL Free Students Union, said transfer of an inspector

shows who actually runs the country. “Just changing the name of the government is not sufficient. Changes must be shown in action,” he said. “The protest will continue unless justice is done to Inspector Timilsina.”

“We will discuss the matter with the Home Minister today and if no solution emerges, we will organise other decisive protest programmes,” said Pachhai.

All Nepal National Free Students Union of Amrit Science College organised the programme.
