KATHMANDU: Police said a man who landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport from New Delhi was taken in custody after he was found out to be wearing three bracelets, apparently made up of gold, which weighed 140 gram.

The 34-year-man from Sunsari district (name withheld) had not declared the ornaments upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Police suspected he was trying to evade customs.

He had come to Kathmandu on a Jet Airlines flight from New Delhi.
