KATHMANDU, JULY 7
Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday during his official visit to Nepal.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen Nepal-Switzerland bilateral relations and enhance cooperation in key development areas. Minister Cassis reaffirmed Switzerland's continued support for Nepal, particularly in implementing federalism, concluding transitional justice, addressing climate change, and improving disaster management.
Prime Minister Oli appreciated Switzerland's long-standing partnership and said the current coalition government is committed to development, good governance, and democratic values.
Also present at the meeting were Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Dr. Danielle Meuwly and officials from Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
