KATHMANDU:

Newly appointed ambassador to China, Tanka Karki, economic envoy to Tibet Ngaindra Prasad Upadhaya and officials of the Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday held a discussion with a view to boosting trade between Nepal and China.

The president of the Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce, Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, said the government should request China not to levy any customs duty on Nepali goods being exported to China.

He also stressed the need for extension of Chinese railway line up to the border between China and Nepal and that the government should encourage Nepali traders to participate in trade fairs in China.
