Tamang body’s convention
Kathmandu, April 2:
The sixth national convention of the Nepal Tamang Ghedung (NTG) will be held on April 7, 8 and 9 with the theme ‘Our campaign for the establishment of an autonomous federal Tamsaling’.
Mahendra Jung Tamang, the NTG president, said at a press meet today that the convention will focus on the representation of the Tamang people in the Constituent Assembly and on organising a general convention.
“The Tamang community has been left behind. There was no representation of the community in the interim government,” he said, adding, “There should be a proportionate representation of the Tamang people in every organ of the state.”
“Speaker Subas Nembang will inaugurate the convention. Around 500 representatives from 62 districts will attend it,” he added.
