KATHMANDU: A fire broke out at a garage during welding and spread to an adjoining motorcycle workshop at Samakhusi of KMC-29 on Tuesday.

A Maruti taxi at the garage, and spare parts of motorcycle and engine oil stashed away at the workshop were gutted in the incident, according to police.

The total loss is estimated to be Rs 1.8 million, police said.
