KATHMANDU: Agitating part time teachers of Tribhuvan University called off their hunger strike on Wednesday night after talks with the government.

The government signed agreements with the agitators on Wednesday on several issues including making all part time teachers permanent and remuneration of Rs 200 per period.

Three part time teachers had been on hunger strike. Their health had been deteriorating and one of them lost consciousness during the agitation.
