KATHMANDU: Police said they have held a teenager who was pickpocketing while travelling on a passenger bus in Madhyapur Thimi of Bhaktapur district on Thursday.

The suspect has been identified as Arjun Tamang (17) of Makawanpur, currently living in Dadhikot of Bhaktapur.

Earlier, a passenger, identified as from Lila Yadav (30) of India, currently living in Chhampi of Lalitpur, had reported that she was robbed of Rs 28,000 cash.

The bus was heading towards Banepa of Kavre from Madhyapur Thimi of Bhaktapur.

Police had caught Tamang while he was running away with the stolen money.

Meanwhile, police are looking into the case.
