KATHMANDU: A teenager was killed and two other people were injured when a minitruck and motorcycle hit them at once at Baneshwor, on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Suman Rai of Okhaldhunga.

Rai was critically injured in the incident and was rushed to the Civil Service Hospital in Minbhawan, where he breathed his last in course of treatment yesterday.

Along with Rai, Dipesh Tharu and Anil Tharu were walking on the roadside when the motorcycle (Ba 73 Pa 7442) and the minitruck (registration number of which has not been identified yet) hit them.

Dipesh and Anil are being treated at the same hospital for their injuries.

Police have arrested the motorcyclist while a search is on for the truck and its driver.
