Thailand hails 56 years of ties with Nepal
Kathmandu, September 13
Thai Ambassador to Nepal Vutti Vuttisant hosted a “Friends of Thailand” programme in Kathmandu today.
Ambassador Vuttisant hailed close ties throughout the past 56 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Nepal. He stated that the two countries were also naturally connected through cultural and religious proximity.
“Since the establishment of Nepal-Thailand diplomatic relations in 1959, the overall relations between our two countries have always been excellent, based on mutual trust, respect, and understanding. We have close cooperation in various fields of common interests and mutual concerns,” he said, adding,”We have continuously worked together to strengthen our relations.” He also expressed satisfaction over the close ties and cooperation at the people-to-people level.
“A number of activities and projects have been initiated and driven for mutual interest of our two countries and a number of projects and programmes activities have been successfully executed,” he said.
