Thapa cancels visit
KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Thapa, cancelled his Geneva visit.
DPM Thapa was scheduled to attend the Universal Period Review or UPR on the human rights situation of the country in the United Nations Human Rights Committee in Geneva of Switzerland.
DPM’s press aide, Mohan Shrestha, said that DPM Thapa cancelled his visit as talks were under way with agitating Madhes-based parties.
DPM Thapa is the coordinator of the government talks team. The two sides are holding decisive talks on Sunday.
