KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 281,000 were stolen from a house in Changunaryan Municipality-3 of Bhaktapur district on Sunday.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into the house belonging to Phulmaya Makaju in Makajutole and made off with various gold jewelleries and a mobile set from the house, and the unattended rented room of Shova Bajegu in the same building.

Similarly, unidentified gang broke into the unattended house belonging to Govinda Prasad Paudel in Jhaukhel of Changunarayan Municipality-2 in Bhaktapur district and decamped with Rs 37,000 cash and various gold jewelleries, collectively worth around Rs 350,000.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the cases are underway, said police.
