Theft at two unattended houses reported

KATHMANDU: Two theft cases were reported to police on Tuesday from assorted locations in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Unidentified thieves struck at unattended houses in Kapan and Kalimati, police said.

Breaking the window, thieves barged into Binay Kumar Regmi's house in Shivashakti Tol of Kapan and made off with some cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 341,000.

In another case, the rented room of Jayaram Tamang was also burgled in Kalimati, KMC-13.

Rs 20,000 cash and gold jewellery, collectively worth Rs 125,000, were stolen from the unattended room, police said.

While looking for the suspects, law enforcers are investigating into both the cases.
