KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 230,000 was stolen from a rented room in Putalisadak, KMC-33 on Friday evening.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves barged into the room of Sita Thapa after breaking the bolt of the door and made off with Rs 80,000 in cash and various gold ornaments.

Police said that the room was unattended when the incident occurred.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
