KATHMANDU: Valuables worth around Rs 279,000 were stolen from two neighbouring houses in Dhungeadda, Chadragiri-23 of the Capital on Friday.

A gang of thieves barged into the houses of Shova Dhakal and Shiva Karki after breaking the padlocks yesterday and decamped valuables including jewellery, watches and cash, police said.

Both the houses were unattended.

Further investigation is underway, police added.
