KATHMANDU, June 30

The Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka, arrested three persons on charge of forging an official record of three ropani public land and transferring its ownership to their name.

The detainees are Dinesh Bhakta Shrestha, 45, and Balkrishna Maharjan, 45, of Kathmandu and Ashok Lal Shrestha, 64, of Morang. According to the MPR, the trio had transferred the ownership of the public land located in Syuchatar by destroying its original record maintained at District Land Revenue Office, Kalanki.

Officials said they had launched further investigation to ascertain the involvement of the DLRO employees in the case.
