KATHMANDU: Police said three persons were arrested in possession of 400 gram undeclared gold from the Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu, on Sunday.

Narayan Prasad Tiwari (42) from Panchamul-1 of Syangja, Shreeram Sapkota (24) from Thumkidanda-8 of Kaski and Suresh Giri (24) from Shyamgha of Tanahun were arrested in possession of the illegal precious metal.

Tiwari and Sapkota had a 150-gram gold bracelet each whereas Giri had that of 100 gram, police added.

They had landed in Kathmandu via Delhi from Doha of Qatar.

Further investigation is underway.
