KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in black marketing of petrol in various parts of Kathmandu Valley.

Bibas Shrestha (25) of Yarbale-3, Kavre and Bishnu Gopal Shrestha (45) of Barabise, Sindhupalchok were arrested for selling petrol at Rs 280 per litre from Balkumari Chok, Koteshwor.

Police have confiscated 165 litres of petrol from them.

Similarly, Tara Kharel (30), a permanent resident of Koyamchar in Panchthar district, was arrested from Nepaltar, Tarakeshwor-21 for selling petrol at Rs 250 per litre.

Police also seized 75 litres of petrol from her.

Police said they are looking into the case.
