KATHMANDU: Three people were arrested in possession of two kg gold-like substance and cash from Pepsicola of Kathmandu, on Wednesday.

The arrestees have been identified as Chin Bahadur Shrestha (24) from Hajam-3, Upendra Shrestha (25) of Pantang-2 and Milan Lama (27) of Golchhe-2 in Sindhupalchok district.

Police also seized Rs 100,000 cash from them.

The trio were arrested by a joint team deployed from the Ranipokhari-based Metropolitan Police Office and the Metropolitan Police Circle in Baneshwor.

The team was following them after receiving a tip-off.

Police are investigating further into the case.
