Three looters arrested
MADHYAPUR THIMI: The Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi, Wednesday night arrested three persons, who robbed a taxi driver brandishing khukuris.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Kiran Bajracharya said the trio boarding a taxi from Kathmandu forced the driver stop the vehicle at Bode in Bhaktapur and looted cash and a mobile set from him.
The police identified the looters as Govinda Adhikari of Jumla, Gambhir Thapa of Sindhupalchowk and Manoj Bhatta of Dhading.
A trial against the arrestees, who are learnt to be the students of Amrit Science Campus in Thamel, is underway, police said.
