Three more ART service centres established

Kathmandu, November 11

National Centre for AIDS and STD Control has expanded its services by setting up three more antiretroviral therapy centres.

The number of ART centres across the country has now reached 74. Earlier, there were 71 ART centres. ART sites have been established in Kailali and Achham. In Kailali, the service has been extended in Malakheti Hospital and in Achham the service has been made available in Kamal Bazar Public Health Centre and Chaurmandu Public Health Centre.

Likewise, NCASC has also made available CD4 (cluster of differentiation 4) test in all seven provinces. The services are available in Koshi Zonal Hospital, BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Mechi Zonal Hospital in Province 1; Narayani Sub-regional Hospital, Janakpur Zonal Hospital and Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital in Province 2.

Likewise, ART services can be availed from Tribhuvan  University Teaching Hospital, National Public Health Laboratory, Bharatpur Hospital, Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, District Public Health Office, Nuwakot, in Province 3; Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital, Damauli Hospital, Western Regional Hospital, and District Hospital Syangja in Province 4; District Hospital Bardiya, Rapti Sub-regional Hospital, United Mission Hospital, Bheri Zonal Hospital, Lumbini Zonal Hospital and Kapilvastu District  Hospital in Province 5; Mid Western Regional Hospital and District Hospital, Dailekh, in Province 6; and Bayalpata Hospital, District Hospital Baitadi, Mahakali Zonal Hospital, Seti Zonal Hospital, Achham District Hospital, Sub-Regional Hospital Dadeldhura and Tikapur Hospital in Province 7.
