Three murder suspects held after 12 years
KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday said three absconding murder suspects were nabbed recently after 12 years of the crime.
Residents of Bouddha, Shreebir Lama (31), Devraj Lama aka Sonu (31) and Rakesh Lama aka Kheppa (40) were arrested by a team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police on Friday, September 9.
The trio are accused of murdering Roshan Kumar Ale (24) of Kumarigal in 2004.
Ale had died after being attacked by a sharp weapon on March 06, 2004. According to police, the trio were on the run ever since.
Arrested Shreebir is accused of planning to exact a revenge on Ale for stopping a gang fight between two parties, in which he was injured.
Ale, then, was reportedly attacked by a group of 10 to 15 people under the protection of Shreebir.
They have already been presented before the District Court seeking remand, according to police.
Police are investigating into the case.
