Kathmandu, November 4:

The overhead bridge near Bir Hospital has got a facelift after around 10 years of negligence and lack of maintenance.

Due to the apathy of authorities concerned, the iron bars of the bridge had corroded and the bridge was about to break apart. However, Innovative Concept Nepal, a firm that has entered an agreement with the Kathmandu Metropolitan City for the construction of overhead bridges, fixed the bridge. The condition of the bridge was so worse that people couldn’t cross it. The public were also hit hard when the bridge was being repaired.

Who fixed it

The repair of the bridge was completed a few days ago. We currently have 19 joint venture projects with the KMC. In the near future, we are planning to construct overhead bridges in New Baneshwor, Kalimati, Kalanki and Koteshwor. As per the agreement, we can use the stalls developed on both sides of the bridge on lease for 20 years.
