KATHMANDU: CPN-UML parliamentarian Ganesh Timilsina has been unanimously elected the Chairman of National Assembly. He was the sole candidate for the nominated for the post.

The decision will be officially declared in the National Assembly meeting on Wednesday.

UML parliamentarian Khimlal Bhattarai had proposed his name and CPN Maoist Centre leader Dinanath Sharma and UML leader Suman Raj Pyakurel had seconded the decision.
