KATHMANDU: A pedestrian, who was knocked down by a tipper in Imadol of Lalitpur on Monday night, has succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment at a hospital, police said.

The victim has been identified as Nurkhu Lama (47) of Makawanpur district, currently residing at Imadol.

A tipper (Ba3Kha 3905) had hit Lama and fled the scene at around 8 pm yesterday.

Critically injured Lama was rushed to the Gwarko-based B&B Hospital where breathed his last, police said.

Police impounded the tipper and arrested the absconding driver later.
