KATHMANDU: A youth died after a tipper hit the motorbike he was riding on, in Nagarkot Municipality of Bhaktapur on Saturday.

Rajesh Manandhar (25) from Pakawas-3 of Ramechhap district had sustained serious injuries in the accident and succumbed to them during treatment at the Bhaktapur Hospital.

An employee at the local Yatu Brick Kiln, Manandhar was hit by a tipper (Ba 2 Ka 879) while he was riding on the two-wheeler (Ba 9 Pa 3510).

Jhamka Bahadur Manandhar (39), who was riding pillion on the bike, also sustained injuries and is also undergoing treatment. Police said he is critical.

Meanwhile, police arrested the tipper driver.

Further investigation is underway.
