KATHMANDU, APRIL 18

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadak Raj Paudel 'Ganes' held courtesy meetings with ambassadors of China, Japan and Lithuania in Kathmandu on Friday, discussing cooperation in tourism and broader development sectors.

According to the Ministry, the minister met with Diana Mickeviciene, Non-Resident Ambassador of Lithuania to Nepal; Zhang Maoming, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China; and Maeda Toru, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal.

During the meetings, the envoys congratulated the newly formed government and extended best wishes for a successful tenure. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing collaboration in Nepal's economic, social and tourism sectors.

Minister Paudel expressed appreciation for the contributions made by China, Japan and other friendly countries to Nepal's development, and underscored the need for deeper cooperation in the future. He also highlighted Nepal's longstanding ties with both China and Japan and sought their support in increasing tourist arrivals from these countries.

The ministry expressed confidence that the engagements would further strengthen Nepal's relations with the three countries and boost the tourism sector.
